Philosophy

 The Dolorock Climbing Festival was originally Peter Mair’s idea back in 2012. Peter’s vision was to preserve all climbing crags in the area by organising a festival where climbers from all over the world could come together and climb. It is all about climbing with old and new friends, getting together and having a good party after a long day on the rock. 
 
 In order to promote this vision, the Gamatzn Climbing Club was founded. Also many other people contributed to realising this idea. Peter Mair unfortunately died in a climbing accident in 2016, but his spirit will always be with us and keep us motivated for climbing, finding new spots as well as new friends in the community.
